I'll have a blue Christmas...

This is my Christmas card for the challenge to make a minimum of five Christmas cards each month until they need to be sent to OWH in October.  I made nine... woo hoo!!  I will also make at least five of these for May.  I've had this stamp since last year and had never used it.  I've had thoughts surrounding the color blue and this stamp for awhile.  It was a little labor intensive but I'm very pleased with the final result...

Episode 51...

As I was watching Episode 52 of OWHtv this morning (a day later than I usually watch), I realized I had never watched last weeks show, Episode 51.  OMG!!  How'd I miss that?  SO, after watching, I now understand a fellow OWH'er who posted a card CASEing Sandy's idea.  I didn't know where the idea came from originally, but I loved it anyway (that would be you Cora).  I started looking thru my scraps... thinking... and then time disappeared and so did the thought.  BUT, after watching this episode this morning, I was re-inspired and created this in a matter of minutes.  Other than the black, everything was from the scrap pile!  Woo hoo!!  The center piece even, was from a card I had to purchase quickly while at a clients' in Medford, MA before heading to Jersey one weekend and realized I had Zack's learner's permit in the car.  Turning around to return it would cost me two hours of time and a couple gallons of gas.  So, I bought the card at the post office and put it in the mail with the learner's permit and was on my way.  He saved the card for me and said, "Mom, make something out of this..."  So...
Zack's card + Episode 51 = ta da...

Found my copics... well, not that they were missing or anything!

I haven't used my copics since Christmas (bad, bad girl!) and it's the middle of April.  Someone please explain how time is getting so far away from me?  My hand kept shaking and caused me to go outside the lines in a few places.  I know, I know, more practice... :)  Anyone who uses copics regularly and has any suggestions, please share... I am forever in learning mode!  Both stamps are from Art Gone Wild!

Happy Birthday Zack!!!

Today is my baby boys' birthday.  He is seventeen.  HOW did that happen? (I'm only 22... lol)  And although he is off on a cruise to the Bahamas with his father and his best friend, I just had to make a card to post on my blog.  His favorite color is green so I rummaged thru the scrap pile and came up with this.  Happy Birthday Zack!  I hope it's everything you wish it to be...

Back to cardmaking...

After a wonderful weekend spent with friends walking thru Boston and seeing a game at Fenway, I was ready to get back to cardmaking.  I CASE'd this card from one I saw on Pinterest.  The most difficult part was trying not to crinkle the paper when it was being embossed thru my Big Shot because the layers are so thick.  Although I've only made two of these, I think it will be a "come back to" design for me .  As usual, I love any design that uses up scraps...

All the brown cards...

Here's my "brown" cards.  I, like many others, didn't realize Sandy's weekend vlog on Sunday was an April Fool's joke.  No, a glitter factory didn't blow-up.  No, she's not going to be on the Ellen show... and no, she did not receive an email asking for brown cards.  She really GOT us, good!  BUT, the truth is, brown is a perfect color for the "Muscle Card Challenge" on the OWH site and perfect also for Father's Day Cards.  So, here ya go...

LOVE this new stamp...

I purchased this stamp set at my favorite LSS, Absolutely Everything in Topsfield, MA yesterday.  Came home and made ten.  Then this morning I awoke and made another ten.  The set, of which I've only used this stamp so far, is from Art Gone Wild!  It's called "Stars & Stripes Sayings".  I love it's simplicity.  I love the font, I love that the stamps are clear and I can see exactly where I'm stamping and of course, I love what it says...
