Episode 51...

As I was watching Episode 52 of OWHtv this morning (a day later than I usually watch), I realized I had never watched last weeks show, Episode 51.  OMG!!  How'd I miss that?  SO, after watching, I now understand a fellow OWH'er who posted a card CASEing Sandy's idea.  I didn't know where the idea came from originally, but I loved it anyway (that would be you Cora).  I started looking thru my scraps... thinking... and then time disappeared and so did the thought.  BUT, after watching this episode this morning, I was re-inspired and created this in a matter of minutes.  Other than the black, everything was from the scrap pile!  Woo hoo!!  The center piece even, was from a card I had to purchase quickly while at a clients' in Medford, MA before heading to Jersey one weekend and realized I had Zack's learner's permit in the car.  Turning around to return it would cost me two hours of time and a couple gallons of gas.  So, I bought the card at the post office and put it in the mail with the learner's permit and was on my way.  He saved the card for me and said, "Mom, make something out of this..."  So...
Zack's card + Episode 51 = ta da...

  1. I think this turned out great Cindy! The beautiful center print looks great against the grey.

    1. Thanks Paula... I love that grey! I've used it as a background on other cards and it's subtleness is very appealing.

  2. They are fun to make aren't they! You do know that you can't send that to OWH because the front is from a card. The copyright issue. I expect to see you post more of these. I have been organizing my cardstock but I will be back at them! Send your cute card back to Zack!

    1. Cora, I couldn't believe how incredibly fast this card was to put together. I will definitely use it as a "go to" again...

  3. Cindy,

What are your measurements for the two front pieces. I made this card and it doesn't look like my
measurements are correct. It is a little lopsided!!! lol

    1. Both pieces are 4.25" by 3". They are then layered on black which is an eight of an inch larger all the way around. The key is to make the piece in front be equa-distance from the sides as if it were the only piece you had and it were centered. I hope that makes sense... :)
